usage: Benzylpenicillin potassium (also known as penicillin G benzathine and usually sold under the brand Name Bicillin LA) is used to treat syphilis in all of its stages. Dosage varies by stage with Late Latent (when duration is greater than 12 months), Tertiary and Unknown Duration receiving three doses (usually each does is given in two shots), each one week apart. When the amount of time that the patient has been infected is not known it is assumed to be more than 12 months. Primary, Secondary and Early Latent syphilis are treated with a single dose. Penicillin by intramuscular injection or intravenous drip
