Molecular Structure
Detailed Description
A corrosion inhibitor for battery anodes, e.g., metals such as zinc, lead, and the like, in primary battery cells, comprises a quaternary ammonium salt, particularly, tetraalkyl ammonium chloride.More preferably Tetraheptyl ammonium chloride.
Used in hybridization solutions of mixed oligonucleotides. In solutions with TMAC, the Tm(melting temperature) of a hybrid is dependent on its length, not its base composition.
TMAC,
Used in probing PCR (polymerase chain reaction) products for the analysis of polymorphisms with allele-specific oligonucleotides.
