Molecular Structure
Detailed Description
Methylboronic acid (cas 13061-96-6) can be used for organic synthesis. It can be reacted with glycol or diamine to obtain different kinds of annular boric acid esters depending on the ratios between Cis and trans annular glycol and boric acid. This property can be used for the separation of cis and trans glycol. And Methylboronic acid can react with halogenated aromatics and halogenated olefin for cross coupling reaction under the effects of catalysts. Methylboronic acid also can be used to protect glycol or diamine. Methylboronic acid is easily reacted with glycol or diamine and is also easily for releasing them. This protection effect is relatively stable in the hydroxyl of esterification, methylation and silicon etherification reactions.
