Bioactivity: A natural product founded in grapes, blueberries, cranberries, Pterocarpus marsupium(Bijasar) and Dracaena species. Recent studies show that pterostilbene has extensive activities such as antifungal, cancer chempreventive, cancer cell cytotoxic, anti-MDR, antioxident, and the most important, hypolipidemic(better than ciprofibrate) and antihyperglycemic(comparable to metformin) activities. It is now considered to be an agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(PPARα) and possess high market value.
