DESCRIPTION : Yellow to Light Red coloure liquid (above 25 C)

SOLUBILITY : Sparingly Soluble in water and Soluble in benzene, alcohol , Chloroform ether.

Loss on Drying : Not more than 1 %

MELTING POINT RANGE : Between 39 oC to 43 oC

ASSAY (By HPLC) : Not less than 96.00 % (on Dry basis)

IMPURITY ( By HPLC) : Any single impurity- NMT 1.0% Total impurity - NMT 2.0%
APPLICATION :

2-Iodophenol is a halophenol with antifungal activity. 2-Iodophenol is used as a catalyst in the synthesis of 1,3,5-substituted benzenes. 2-Iodophenol is also used as additive tracers for resist plasma etching.
