    Mainly used as food preservative. Prepared with potassium carbonate or potassium hydroxide and sorbic acid. Cosmetic preservatives. An organic acid preservatives. Content is generally 0.5%. Can be used with sorbic acid mixture. Although potassium sorbate soluble in water, easy to use, but its 1% aqueous solution pH value is 7-8, the pH value increased tendency of cosmetics, attention should be paid to in use. Sorbic acid (potassium) could effectively inhibit molds, yeasts and aerobic bacteria activity, so as to achieve the effective extension of food shelf life, and maintain the original flavor of food.
