LITHIUM THIOCYANATE
Other Information
- CAS Registry Number: 556-65-0
- Transport: 3288
- Flash Point: 42.1°C
- Boiling Point: 146°C at 760 mmHg
- Density: g/cm3
- Safety Statements: Poison by ingestion. Decomposes in air at 650°C to yield small amounts of cyanide. The presence of water or 1,3-dioxolane increase the amount of cyanide gas evolved. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of CN−, NOx, SOx, and Li2O. See also LITHIUM COMPOUNDS and THIOCYANATES.
