- Safety Statements: Poison by ingestion. Rapid heating causes detonation. Explosive reaction with antimony pentachloride. Violent reaction or ignition with bromates; HClO3; chlorates; iodates; HIO2, HNO3; AgNO3. Reaction with potassium hydroxide produces phosphine gas, reaction becomes explosive in the presence of air.
