Properties: Orange crystals when cold, red when hot. d 4.3. mp ~380°. bp 414-420°, dec into dibromide and bromine; can be sublimed without dec at 300° in vacuum. Soluble in a little water, but hydrolyzed by much water. Sol in HBr, ether, glacial acetic acid. Keep well closed.
