Yohimbine common brand names are: Erex, Testomar, Yocon, Yohimar, Yohimbe. It is a stimulant with aphrodisiac and mild MAOI effects that primarily acts as an antagonist of α2 receptors. Yohimbine was explored as a remedy for type 2 diabetes in animal and human models carrying polymorphisms of the α2A-adrenergic receptor gene.
