Literature References: Combinations of egg albumin and iron contg 17-19% Fe. The exact form in which iron exists in these compds is not known and probably varies with the method of manuf. Structure and composition of compds of Fe and albumin: Heymann, Oppenheimer, Biochem. Z. 199, 468 (1928).
Properties: Reddish-brown, lustrous granules, or brown powder. Odorless. Freely sol in water; almost insol in alcohol.
