Properties: Crystals, dec 203°. Non-hygroscopic. Acid taste. Freely sol in water or in 25% aq polyvinylpyrrolidone soln. One gram dissolves in 0.4 ml water, in 810 ml ethanol. Insol in ether, chloroform. A 10% aq soln has a pH of about 3.5.
