Dear Technical Support,I am interested in purchasing the Sybr Green I nucleic acid gel stain, however currently I am not sure if this dye would be the most suited for the experiment I wish to perform. I would like to perform an experiment which involves a single stranded DNA oligo (25-75bp) possessing a secondary structure (forms a double strand with itself in parts of the structure). This oligonucleotide will be heated in a real time PCR from 3oC to 100oC increasing 1oC / minute. The aim is to monitor the folding of the DNA (formation of the secondary structure, hence the double strand) over the increasing temperature range. I hope to use a dye which is compatible with the RT PCR and is able to bind to the double stranded DNA.I would be grateful if you could advice me if the Sybr green dye would be suitable for this type of experiment and if so would there be a possibility for me to have a small trial amount for me to test with my oligo. Also should this work, would there be a possibility to have a discounted price on a large order as we would also like to use Sybr green as our regular gel stain.I would really appreciate any information, advice, or trial samples which could help me in obtaining my desired result.I look forward to hearing from your soon and thanking you in advance for your help and time.Kind Regards,
